The following advice shall give you an overview of what happens with your personal data when you visit our website. Personal data is defined as any data that personally identifies you. Detailed information about data protection can be found in our Privacy Policy stated below this text.

The operator of these sites takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially in accordance with the legal data protection regulations as well as with this Privacy Policy.

This means, in particular, that we only collect, process and use personal data if you have granted us permission or as long as the data processing is permitted by law.

We would like to point out that the data transfer via the internet (e.g. communication by E-mail) can have security vulnerabilities. A complete protection of the data from access by third parties is not possible.

1. CollectionProcessing, and Use of Personal Data by

1.1 Collection of Data upon Registration

When opening the site no personal data will be recorded.

Upon registration as a user, you merely have to enter first and last name, user name, E-mail address, sex, country, location, and language. All further details are voluntary. Upon registration, we receive the user’s IP address and save the date of registration.

When paying for any additional services, the specification of further data can be required.

Third parties, i.e. other registered users, can only see the username, country, location, and language and voluntarily entered information if applicable. Users have the possibility to limit the visibility of such data in their profile settings.


1.2 Collection of Data when using guanshe

With every access to guanshe by the registered user usage data will be transmitted through the respective internet browser and stored in server log files. This refers to the IP address of the accessing computer, the name of the page, date and time of the retrieval, file size, referrer URL (source URL) from which the user visited the page as well as information about the used browser and operating system. 

Each time when a user logs into guanshe, the so-called login data record saves the following usage data: IP address, username as well as date and time of the login. 

We are using the data mentioned above for the following purpose: validation of the user; sending of E-mail notifications regarding amendments of the General Terms and Conditions or other legal relevant changes of the service; sending of a newsletter with the consent of the users; sending of notifications; anonymous analysis for internal purposes for the improvement and enhancement of our service; individualisation of contents for the user.

The recorded log files will automatically be deleted after 60 days.


1.3 Newsletter and Notifications

We use your username and E-mail address in order to send the Newsletter via E-mail requested by you upon registration. Furthermore, you may receive notifications related to activities of other users on guanshe via E-mail.

You may object the processing of these data with future effect at any time and cancel the newsletter subscription by unchecking “Receive Site Notifications” in your profile or by simply sending an E-mail to admin(@)

Furthermore, visitors of the internet site guanshe have the possibility to subscribe to the newsletter without registration as a user of guanshe.

The newsletter can only be received by the concerned person, if (1) the concerned person has a valid E-mail address and if (2) the concerned person subscribed to the sending of the newsletter. For legal reasons, a confirmation E-mail will be sent to the E-mail address entered by the concerned person for the newsletter dispatch using the double-opt-in procedure. This confirmation E-mail will be sent to assure that the owner of the E-mail address as a concerned person genuinely has authorised the receipt of the newsletter.

When registering for the newsletter, we also store the IP address of the Internet service provider (ISP) of the computer system used by the concerned person at the time of registration as well as the date and time of registration.

The collection of this data is necessary in order to understand the (possible) misuse of a concerned person's E-mail address at a later date and therefore serves as legal safeguards for the responsible.

The personal data collected in the context of registering for the newsletter will be used exclusively to send our newsletter. Subscribers to the newsletter may also be notified by E-mail if this is necessary for the operation of the newsletter service or registration, as might be the case in the event of changes to the newsletter or technical changes.

There will be no transfer of the personal data collected as part of the newsletter service to third parties. Subscription to our newsletter may be terminated by the person concerned at any time. The consent to the storage of personal data that given by the concerned person to us for the newsletter dispatch can be revoked at any time. For the purpose of revoking the consent, there is a corresponding link in each newsletter. It is also possible to send an E-mail to admin (@) to unsubscribe the receipt of the newsletter.


1.4. Cookies

We use so-called Cookies on our websites. Cookies do not damage your computer in any way and do not contain computer viruses. They serve to make our service more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are placed onto your computer and saved by your internet browser.

Most of the Cookies we use are so-called “Session cookies”. They are automatically deleted after the end of your session. Other Cookies will be saved in your computer until you delete them. These Cookies enable us to recognize your browser at your next visit.

You can set your browser to notify you about Cookies and allow Cookies only in individual cases, to accept Cookies for specific cases or to generally exclude them as well as activate the automatic deletion of Cookies when closing the browser. The deactivation of Cookies may restrict the functionality of this website. 


2. Integration of Social Media Plugins 

2.1 ShareThis Plugin

On our pages, we use so-called social plugins of the bookmarking services ShareThis which is being operated by ShareThis, Inc., 4005 Miranda Avenue, Suite 100, Palo Alto, CA 94304-1227, USA (hereinafter called “ShareThis”). These Plugins allow users to set bookmarks and to post or share corresponding contents within the social networks (such as Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn).

Should a user use any of these features of ShareThis while at the same time being logged in at the other services (for example Twitter, Facebook or LinkedInd), the visit on our website can then be allocated to the respective user account. ShareThis do not receive any personal data of the user, they are keeping anonymized usage statistics about the shared contents. These data will be deleted regularly. 2.2 Facebook Plug-In

On our pages, we are using the “Share”-button from Facebook. Facebook is a social network of the US company Facebook, Inc. (1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA). Facebook buttons can always be identified with the Facebook logo. Depending on the feature of the button, further information may be added (e.g. “Like” or “Recommend”). When browsing on our sites and the requested site contains a facebook button, a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook servers will be established and the button will be loaded from there. In this case, Facebook will receive the information that the corresponding page had been visited. We do not have an influence on the scope of data that Facebook collects through this button.

Should you be a Facebook user and at the same time be logged into Facebook, Facebook is then able to allocate the visited page to your profile. Should you click on integrated Facebook buttons and log into Facebook afterwards (or are already logged in), the “liked” or “recommended” information will then be published in short in your Facebook profile. In this way, Facebook can collect or save further usage data if applicable. This may result in user profiles at Facebook which go beyond what you yourself have shared at Facebook.

2.3 Twitter Button

Twitter is a microblogging service by the US company Twitter, Inc. (795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107). When browsing on our sites and the requested site contains a Twitter button, a direct connection between your browser and the Twitter servers will be established and the button will be loaded from there. In this case Twitter will receive the information that the corresponding page had been visited. Even if you are not logged in, Twitter may collect and save usage data if applicable. 

Should you click on a Twitter button on guanshe and tweet information via a the window that opens for Twitter, you are transferring this tweeted data to Twitter. This data will then be published in your Twitter user profile.

2.4 LinkedIn

Our website uses the features of the social network LinkedIn of LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereinafter called “LinkedIn”). The LinkedIn plugins can be identified with the LinkedIn logo on our site. With each visit of any of our sites that contain the LinkedIn feature, a connection to the servers of LinkedIn will be established. LinkedIn will then be informed that you have visited our web sites with your IP address. When you click on the LinkedIn “Recommend-Button” while being logged into your LinkedIn account, you can link the contents on our site to your LinkedIn profile. In this way, LinkedIn can allocate the visit on our sites with your user account. We would like to point out that as a provider of these sites, we do not have any knowledge in relation to the content of the transmitted data as well as of its usage by LinkedIn. 3. Use of Analytical Programms and Tracking Tools: 

3.1 Goolge Analytics

We use Google Analytics on our Website, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about the use of the online services through users will be transmitted to and stored on a server operated by Google in the USA. Google will use this data on our behalf in order to analyse the usage of our online services through the users, to create reports about the activities within this online services and in order to provide us with the use of these online services and internet use related services. The processed data may be used to generate pseudonymous user profiles of the users.

We use Google Analytics only with enabled IP anonymisation. This means that Google shortens the IP address of the users within Member States of the European Union or in other Member States of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the complete IP address be transmitted to a server of Google in the USA and then shortened. The IP address transmitted by the user’s browser will not be merged with other Google data.

The user may prevent the storage of cookies by means of a respective settings in the browser software; furthermore, users may also prevent the collection by Google of the data generated by the cookie and related to their use of the online services and the processing of such data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link:

As an alternative to the browser add-on, especially for browsers on mobile devices, you can prevent the collection by Google Analytics by clicking on this link. An opt-out cookie will be set which prevents the future collection of your data when you visit this website. The opt-out cookie is only valid in this browser and only for our website and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you must set the opt-out cookie again.

4.  Infomation, Deletion, Blocking

You may also demand at any time that we correct, block or delete your personal data, if the legal requirements for this are met. In the case of inaccuracies, we will correct the saved data immediately upon receipt of notice from you. Regarding correction, blocking or deletion of your personal data, you may contact us at the address and E-mail stated above.

Personal data will be deleted, if the collection or processing was not permitted from the beginning, the processing or usage was proven as not permitted as a result of subsequent incurred circumstances or if the knowledge of the data for us is no longer necessary for the purpose of the processing or usage. Data that we still need for handling outstanding tasks or for asserting our rights and enforcing our claims as well as data that we are obliged to retain by law, is excluded from deletion. Such data will be blocked.


5. Transmission of Personal Data to Third Parties

guanshe will only pass your personal and/or account related data to third parties, i.e. cooperating companies or external service providers, wherever this is necessary for executing the contract and payment processing as well as for the protection of other users when permitted or required by law. This refers in particular to the payment process that is being carried out through external service providers (e.g. credit card companies, banks).

Furthermore, your personal data will only be passed on if required for the protection of other users or for the defence of danger towards the government or public security or if necessary for the prosecution of criminal offences and permitted by the legal data protection regulations. Your details that require protection will be handled in accordance with the legal provision.
